Generally, I’m finding it awkward to procure the old essays that I would like to read.
Reading the best old essays is a great suggestion. If I can offer my suggestions:
1: Power of the Powerless - Vaclav Havel
2: Why men love war - William Broyles
3: Dialogue Between Franklin and the Gout - Ben Franklin
4: Of This and Other Worlds - CS Lewis (this one is recommended to JTF specifically.)
5: Homers Contest - Nietzsche (I am working on my own rebuttal to this one, but it still excellent.)
